Jonny Johnston, TCD Northern Ireland Engagement Programme Coordinator along with former Head Boy and current Trinity student James Cunningham visited the College on Tuesday 22nd November to address final year pupils as they explore their options for studying ‘down South’.
Mr Johnston provided an overview of the university covering its history, facilities, courses and opportunities and also outlined the CAO application system for applying to universities in the South of Ireland.
James, now in his second year, motivated pupils by providing the student perspective on studying at Trinity College Dublin. His advice to Year 14 pupils to seriously consider higher education opportunities in the South appears to have been well received as according to feedback the number of pupils now hoping to apply down South has increased significantly.
