The senior water polo team had a tremendous day on Wednesday 24 February by finishing runners up in the U19 All Ireland Schools Water Polo Championships at the Falls Leisure Centre. The boys started off brightly with a win over local rivals St. Mary's CBGS and followed this up wit a super performance to defeat Blackrock College, Dublin. This put the boys into a quarter final matchup with Friends School, Lisburn which the boys won well. The semi final was again against RBAI and the depth in the squad told as the boys were able to clinch another victory. The final was against pre-tournament favourites, Colaiste Iognaid, Galway, a team loaded with club players from Corrib. The boys went down on a score line of 7-2 but they were thrilled and proud to have done so well this year.
