This morning saw the second of our Shared Education events with our partner school BRA. The seed group classes travelled to the BRA Ben Madigan site for a morning of games and community service.
The Year 8 pupils braved the rain to take part in a range of activities and games aimed at creating greater integration of the group. After a short and rather soggy break time they donned their plastic gloves and headed into the Cavehill Country Park. In the park the walked through the wide path network to collect litter and clean up the environment. Then it was time to go back to Ben Madigan for a picnic lunch and home.
Today’s activities are not the end of shared education for these pupils, when they move into Year 9 they will be involved in shared LLW lessons to further explore key issues.
