AS Geography Fieldwork - Derrygonnelly

On the 2nd of March 18 intrepid Year 13 Geography students and their teachers headed to Derrygonnelly in Femanagh to undertake their AS Fieldwork.

Despite the rain and a very patchy phone signal the students did extremely well and developed their skills to gather valuable river data. After a hearty meal and another session in the classroom where they completed the statistics for the results everyone headed to bed for a well earned rest. On Friday morning it was off to Mullaghmore in Sligo to study the sand dunes. Again the students battled the elements but were successful in completing their study.

Friday afternoon afforded them the chance to charm the residents of Enniskillen with a tourism questionnaire. Then it was home to Belfast in time for tea!
