On Thursday 30 March, the College's Young Enterprise team, bFit, had the fantastic opportunity of pitching their business idea to a room full of investors, entrepreneurs and top business people in Crumlin Road Gaol. This event was streamed around the world and was advertised throughout Northern Ireland. The College were the only school in Northern Ireland represented at the event. Others businesses that were pitching were part of Start Planet NI's accelerator programme with some seeking investment of up to £350,000. The bFit team were first to present and did extremely well, wowing the room with their jokes but also impressing everyone with their business minds! The event was compered by RTE's Dragon's Den investor Gavin Duffy who commended the lads for their fantastic innovative business idea. He also remarked that he was extremely impressed with them though only having just met last night. It was great to meet such an engaging and energetic business man! The group wish to thank Wayne Murphy and Linda Robinson from Start Planet NI who have worked tirelessly with the group as their business advisors over the last few months. These two have ensured the group have progressed their presentation, entrepreneurial and business skills in a short period of time.
