Congratulations to Miss Mullan’s Year 12 GCSE class who completed their Home Economics practical examinations this week. Through doing so, the boys gained an opportunity to develop their understanding required in the choice, planning, storage, preparation, cooking and serving of food.
The boys had two and a half hours to make a four course meal with accompaniments. The Home Economics Department and other members of staff were lucky enough to sample the completed dishes and thoroughly enjoyed the tasting session. Miss Mullan commended the boys of their achievement stating that ‘all final dishes incorporated a variety of complex skills and it was evident that all their hard work this year paid off.’
We wish the class the very best with their written examination in June!
